The Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier Active was designed to let you carry your child more comfortably while still being able to get around town. Mothers can breast feed their babies without even taking the child out of the carrier. With greater support for your back and shoulders, you can use the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier Active for newborns (minimum 8 lbs, with the safety strap fastened) as well as older babies (maximum 26lbs). The fabric is also machine washable.
The carrier features two ergonomically designed shoulder straps that work together with the lumbar support, which slides to adjust to the individual wearer's size. This increased comfort allows for longer periods of wearing your baby and puts him or her in a physiologically correct position. As the child grows, the neck rest can be folded down to allow the child to face forwards in the carrier. The Active Carrier is a sturdier and slightly bulkier version of the Original Carrier, made to carry heavier children for longer periods of time.

Support - The Active is designed with better lumbar support. While
the Original is not uncomfortable, the Active is deluxe.
Sizing
- The original carrier is sized "Regular" and for bigger parents. The standard
straps on the Active Carrier are fully adjustable and will fit taller / bigger parents.
Different Color Options - The extra back support provided by
the Baby Bjorn Active Carrier is for the parents who want to wear their carrier
frequently and for long periods. If you don't plan on wearing this carrier all of
the time, or believe you can handle less shoulder and lumbar support, the Original
